💬Sub vs. Dub
Terms may differ in the subbed and dubbed versions. The majority of terminology to be used will be in accordance with the English licensed version so readers have an idea of what to expect. When the licensed subbed and dubbed versions do not use the same terminology, carefully evaluate the context in order to decide on what term to use.
To facilitate the editing process, it is recommended that you explain your reason for choosing a specific term in a comment on your synopsis' Google Doc. Do not hesitate to seek a coordinator's assistance if you feel uncertain.
Names are kept to follow MAL standards for consistency across the databases, i.e., follow the spelling in the character database. Read the Style Guide for more information on naming conventions.
