En Dash

Information

There is no reason to ever use an en dash in a synopsis. If you would like to express a date range, use the words from and to.

Examples

• Correct: The Hundred Years' War lasted from 1337 to 1453.

• Incorrect: The Hundred Years' War lasted 1337–1453.
