Ellipsis

Information

The ellipsis has two primary functions. The first is to signify that text has been omitted from a quotation. The second, an informal usage, is to indicate that a thought is trailing off or that the speaker is wavering and uncertain. Neither of these usages is relevant to synopses. As such, the ellipsis should never be used.
