The average synopsis should be around 150 words. If the word count differs greatly from this (<100 or >200), consider whether there is too little or too much information to properly convey the essence of the story to the reader.

At the end of the day, synopsis length varies case-by-case, so do not worry too much about the word count. Ultimately it is the content that dictates the word count and not vice versa, so focus on making sure that you properly follow the instructions of the next section.
